OSRAM Trust Program

Fake OSRAM lamp are an ever-increasing problem in the automotive lighting industry. Some of these counterfeit bulbs can be difficult to spot and, if installed in your vehicle, can cause a number of problems.

To actively tackle this issue, OSRAM have developed the OSRAM Trust Program, which applies to every Xenon HID headlight bulb manufactured after 01/10/2015. The Program allows you to check the authenticity of your bulbs before you install them in your car, giving you peace of mind.

Experience the power

Meet OSRAM's most powerful Xenon HID headlight bulb: the OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited. With up to 70% more light on the road in comparison to a standard Xenon, plus a light cone that's 20 metres longer, you'll benefit from a safer drive.

This extra boost of light ensures better illumination of the road ahead, giving you more time to perceive and react to potential hazards.

Night-breaking light

The light produced by OSRAM's Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited range is 5% whiter than a standard Xenon HID. Installing the range to your vehicle will therefore result in a more comfortable drive, as the 4350K colour temperature produces a bright beam that helps you to stay more awake and alert.

OSRAM's range of high pressure gas discharge lamps are setting new standards in terms of light quantity, cost efficiency and service life. Xenarc lamps are only approved for use if your vehicle uses Xenon bulbs. The lamps may be replaced by a trained auto-electrician due to the high voltage of these bulbs.

Like all lamps, we recommend changing the OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited in pairs. Add two to your basket for an evenly matched colour and beam pattern.

5 Let's be clear

These bulbs are just what I was hoping for: clear, white light. Installed these in a 2008 VW R32 (mkv) and they are much less blue than the factory bulbs, which I believe are Philips. Much closer to sunlight. They do seem brighter overall, too. Don't notice the farther reach to the extent that is advertised, but the periferial vision is noticeably improved. My only criticism is they seem more "raw" around the edges, meaning the edges of the beam where the edges of the projector lens distorts the color is more noticeable and changes color more (more yellow) than the factory bulbs. The factory bulbs are more seemless and homogenized around the edges. This is only noticeable when inspecting the pattern closely and isn't noticeable or annoying while driving. If you like blue lights for the style, look elsewhere. If you want white light for the best vision, I highly recommend these.

3 Little Less than my expectations

Somehow had greater expectations from these series - given the product brief and the price. I think my original OEM HID bulbs from Mercedes were better. The Audi which I use daily has better illumination and reach than these.

5 Impressive

I recently purchased a 9 year old Passat, not knowing the age of the headlight bulbs I decided to take the plunge and buy some new bulbs as I did not want to get caught out with an unexpected failure, especially as it is a bumper off/headlights out job to replace them, plus I liked the idea of an upgrade. I chose these bulbs as they seemed better value than the Philips and promised the best performance available. I am not disappointed, the performance is great, deffinently brighter than my old stock Osram's, like I said not sure how old they were so results may vary. Colour wise they look pretty similar to OEM, I am led to believe they may get a bit whiter as they 'break in', anyways, If your after that blue/ice white look you would probably be a little disappointed. From what I have read the 'cool blue intense' may be more up your street. I wanted the best light in all conditions so am happy with the 4350k colour temperature.
