As long as your car meets the following criteria you’ll be able to fit these stylish lights to your car.



In order to ensure road legality there needs to be a minimum of 600mm between the two LED units and each unit needs to be no more than 400mm from the left or right of the front of the vehicle. We highly recommend measuring your vehicle before you choose this product to avoid disappointment.

Excellent product and service thank you. We now have Philips drl’s on 3 cars. Latest one I fitted to a
1966 Mustang. Was interesting as the parking lights from factory go off when head lights are switched on so I simply had to bridge two wires just near the headlight switch so the taillight circuit now gives power to the front parkers.
Fitted the lights just behind the grille, in the very top so all I needed was 400mm of 30mmx30mm aluminium angle and used the existing holes in the grille. So all up not 1 hole drilled in car and the lights are rather inconspicuous when off plus very bright when on.

Pretty straightforward installation. Just ignore the left and right side, and put the one with the longer wiring on the side away from your battery. Bit fiddley connecting the park light, but that could be just my car.
Biggest issue was finding somewhere to mount the control unit vertically. Would have thought heaps of options, until you try to do it, but found a spot and still plenty of length on the wiring looms provided.
Good light output. So more likely to be seen in my silver car one when the auto headlights haven't turned on.
Maybe could have been packaged a little better as the product box itself had been a bit squashed. But no damage to components.

Started with postage to Australia which was very quick and then the installing of the led lights on my Holden Cruze was quiet easy with simple wiring and connection, lights are very bright and do look a treat,I am sure they improve the saftey aspect of the car in daylight hours and can only recommend the Philips brand and Powerbulbs as a supplier.

Product, once the bugs were ironed out, again perfect.
The product delivered had subtle changes to the one advertised, requiring the sourcing and installation of a second set of waterproof electrical plugs to enable the front bar to be removed for servicing without completely uninstalling the lights. I had to try both wiring options to get the lights to function correctly. Just a little more technical information in the supplied manual would have made this easy but the lack of this added quite some time to the workable wiring outcome. Once done, just what I was after.

Bought the Philips Daylight 9 DLR kit for my TR4A so that the car, which has a very small frontal area, can be seen without having to run on head lights all the time; she only has a 45 amp dynamo which would have to support an electric fan as well as the head light. They fit the bill perfectly, easy to fit and can be seen for miles yet do not deface the lovely lines of the TR4 and are not noticeable when standing near the car.

There's no doubt that this is a good product. I have a tendency to test fit before actual installation, and this is a huge mistake. The bracket does clip the light firmly and securely, and it's so fit to the extend that it's almost impossible to unclip it. Took me almost an hour to remove the bracket with a flat screw driver and left tons scarchtes, but luckily it won't be seen after installed.

Extremely bright and good quality LED modules. Brighter than the factory LED DRLs on some new cars.
These lights do not dim but rather cut out completely when the position lights are turned on. No info on this on the web or anywhere until I received the lights and read the paper manual.
Also with most newer cars like mine, the DRLs will turn off after engine has been idling for a while, especially while stuck in traffic, not a good look in my opinion. It will turn on again once the car is moving. This is due to the alternator trying to save fuel and causing the battery's voltage to drop below the threshold where the DRL's control box tell the lights to turn off as if the engine is turned off.
I needed to use the orange wire as per hybrid vehicle wiring instructions to get around this.
As a personal taste, I've since wired up a simple PWM and relay controller and the DRLs now dim by around half instead of turning off completely with the headlights turn on.

These DRLs are very bright from a wide angle. The install was easy and the supplied wiring was high quality.
One thing I do not like is once the lights are snapped into the bracket they are in there. Almost for good. If you are creative you can mount them using the threaded holes in the lights to have a more flexible install.
I do wish they dimmed when you turn on the headlights but the system as designed works well.
I have been told Philips is discontinuing the Daylight product line in the US and will not be bringing the Daylight 9 in....too bad! I wonder what the future holds for the Daylight series overseas?

Installation was super easy. Just find suitable place for the lights, connect the wires and you are ready to go. But, it is strange that when driving in a night time these lights are off, naturally. But when I park the car and switch ignition off, Philips DRL switch on!! And the stay on until the battery is drained!!! My car is without Start/stop function and I wired this system as they say in manual. Red wire to the car`s battery + pole. The correct way should be to connect it to somewhere at ignition key which will cut the main power for the lights when you turn off the engine.

Just fitted a set today and impressed with the brightness.Instructions bit vague about orange trigger wire but simply resolved with a multimeter.Not impressed with joining cables with scotcklock so soldered and heatsrinkis better and permenant.
Have noticed the lights go off if vehicle is only on tickover which is clever but would of been usefull to know in the instructions.Assume they illuminate in slow moving traffic though as have only just tested them driving and seem to work fine
