Night-breaking light

The light produced by OSRAM's Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited range is 5% whiter than a standard Xenon HID. Installing the range to your vehicle will therefore result in a more comfortable drive, as the 4350K colour temperature produces a bright beam that helps you to stay more awake and alert.

OSRAM's range of high pressure gas discharge lamps are setting new standards in terms of light quantity, cost efficiency and service life. Xenarc lamps are only approved for use if your vehicle uses Xenon bulbs. The lamps may be replaced by a trained auto-electrician due to the high voltage of these bulbs.

Better than OEM.

These globes were fitted to my Volvo XC-60 in about five minutes. They are brighter and have a longer throw than the original globes. Also, getting set of two sent to Melbourne for less than the cost of a single unit bought locally is a real bonus. Fast shipping. On my door step in less than ten days. Great service.

Hard to find better!

I’m a bit of an obsessive when it comes to headlight bulbs and have found myself over the years buying many different bulbs as I just can’t find one that I think is bright enough while producing a nice daylight like colour temp, well after buying these my bulb purchases are now over as I found the best there is, if you want a good clean bright light that does not strain the eyes then these are for you! They are warm/cool white and are not too yellow but WoW! they are good, after having now used them for 15000 miles I can confirm they become a really nice white colour temp just a bit on the yellow side making them very bright, I’m very pleased with these, you need look no further.

White but...

Its clean, those lights are bright white but at the end, Ill prefert more blue. So, if I would have to buy it again, Ill prefert to buy a 5000K bulbs. Otherwose, Im good with it. Can see my beam over 100m on lowbeam.

An exact replacement for the OEM Bulb

For the non-boy racers who expect their lights to allow them to see well at night rather than to look as blue as possible, these give excellent usable light and look properly white without any obvious trace of blue. The D1S bulb includes the ballast with the bulb, which is unusual, but it means whether bulb or ballast has failed, replacing it will correct both issues. Fits perfectly on the OEM bixenon lights on a Skoda Superb II. Easy replacement job - 5 minutes for both. There is a plastic collar that clips around the base of the bulb to allow it to fit the headlight which must be swapped over when changing the bulb. Slightly disappointed to have a bulb fail after only 6 years, but the car has well over 100 000 miles on it, much of which involved night driving, so it's probably fair enough. Also confirmed bulbs were genuine by checking the code on the side of the box on Osram's website. Replace both bulbs at the same time to keep headlights matched in colour and intensity. Price was better than anywhere I found locally and delivery to Ireland took less than a week.

let there be light

SKoda Superb 2011. Dear God, how do they get away with such awful lights? really clever (up down sideways, city mode (criminally dangerous in the countryside).. anyway. Assistance from PowerBulbs was invaluable. the OSRAM performance bulbs I bought were delivered very quickly, fit perfectly, and significantly improved the width if not the length of night time illumination. i'm still scared but at least now i have half a chance of seeing pedestrians. also road signs suddenly have appeared... all good PowerBulbs are my first call for bulbs. I have every confidence in their advice.

Once per ten years OSRAM

Rivals even the best HID bulbs

Osram hit a real winner here. This D1s bulb is so bright, it's almost illegal. It has a slightly yellow, 4350k glow...but its superior to whiter, 5000k bulbs, due to optimized inclement weather visibility. The "Diamond" bulbs return too much glare in rain and snow.

D1S Nightbreaker

Replaced the original bulbs in my HID spotlights with these Osram Nightbreaker units. Haven't had a chance to use them in action yet but side by side with the originals they appear much brighter. I will be going on a 500km night drive in northern outback Australia very soon so we'll see how they go. Globes arrived a little later than stated but were packaged well with no breakage. Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited

Just replaced the xenons on my MK4 Ford Mondeo with OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited D1S, what a difference they make along with the Philips X-treme Vision which are used in conjunction with the xenons on main beam. Think I might have to wear sunglasses !

Good performer

I went for the Osram Xenarc D1S having had Philips Xenstarts previously. Have done about five thousand miles with them now. The colour is good - "factory" white as opposed to blue or violet. The beam pattern is also very good (perhaps slightly more of a kick up on the nearside than the Xenstarts). I think the beam range might be slightly longer also, but really we're splitting hairs - you'll be very happy with either part.

Happy with lbulbs

The NightBreakers are a good replacement for the OEM that had burnt out. I believe they throw more light than the stock Philips 4300k's. The color is a bright white without any blue tint which is what I was looking for. One thing I had to do, FedEx called me and I had to fill out an Emport form. It did not delay the shipping and there was no additional cost. Just something you may what to be aware of if you live in the USA.

What a transformation!

Fitted these uprated D1S bulbs to my Skoda Octavia VRS and I'm amazed by the difference (compared to stock/OEM xenon bulbs). My daily commute is around 70 miles with most of these miles being rural Scottish B roads. At night time these bulbs are so much brighter, and the spread of light greater both in width and distance, that you can easily drive quickly on B roads without the need for full beam (already upgraded to H7 Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited). Would highly recommended to anyone.

Powerbulbs to the rescue ......

I was quoted £295 EACH by my local Chrysler dealership for the replacement of my two Xenon headlamp bulbs in my 300c including fitting and VAT. I went online, found Powerbulbs, used their 'Find Bulbs For My Car' facility, made a quick call to a very helpful young assistant to double check that the selected bulbs - which produce 20% more light throw than the standard issue! - would do the job and the bulbs arrived NEXT DAY with a pair of complimenatry side light bulbs. Cost? £134! Saving? £456. A Youtube video showed me how to replace them which took 15 minutes.
