A widespread problem in the automotive lighting industry is the increase of counterfeit bulbs in the marketplace. It can be difficult to check the authenticity of bulbs, but to counter this growing concern, Philips have given the consumer an easy way of determining for certain whether or not they have received genuine Philips products. Each of our products comes with a unique QR code that can be verified as authentic by Philips here.

An LED headlight that covers all bases: Philips’ new expertly designed X-tremeUltinon LED headlights offer style, safety, sight and long life in one distinguished package.

Why buy Philips X-tremeUltinon LED Headlamp H7 (Twin)?

The new X-tremeUltinon LED headlights range is the culmination of years of technological innovation, utilising a variety of Philips’ patented design features in order to achieve a headlight that surpasses expectations in every field. With the help of LUXEON LED technology, the bulbs achieve a bright white light with a colour temperature of 6500K, producing a 200% brighter light than that of a standard halogen.

What’s more, the stylish white light effect of the X-tremeUltinon LED headlights’ beam is designed with precision in mind, making use of SafeBeam technology to ensure that the bulbs’ extra light stays where it belongs: on the road. As well as being more distinctive than a standard halogen light, the white LED light produced is closer to the colour of natural daylight, helping you to stay alert and energised on the road at night. The refined positioning of the strong, uniform LED light enables you to see far-away obstacles on the road, without the risk of dazzling other drivers.

The expert craft of the X-tremeUltinon LED headlights range also means that you can enjoy the benefits of a brighter, whiter light for longer. Philips have implemented advanced AirFlux and AirCool technologies to increase the bulbs’ heat resistance, diverting heat from any critical components, thus extending their lifetime. These intelligent heat management systems, combined with the higher light intensity level of the LED, make for an impressively durable bulb with a remarkably long life of up to 12 years.

With the X-tremeUltinon LED headlights' easy installation process you can enjoy extra sight, style, safety and bulb-life in no time at all. Get ready to outshine and out-style the competition.

PLEASE NOTE: These bulbs do not have ECE approval, and as such their usage is currently not approved for use on public roads: their usage is limited to ‘off-road’ applications.

4 Led h4

After buying cheap stuff and having failures i bpught these and they are awesome. I wish i had just spent the money first time and id be way in front. Only negative is i to get a load resister as my dash high beam doesnt work but that is a 80 series landcruiser thing which was an issue for all the hid/led globed i have tried which is many

5 Amazing

As the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" These aren't cheap but they have greatly improved the light output from my H4 lights. As important they don't just throw the light out randomly. The cut off for oncoming traffic is very defined and excellent. Can't see any negatives. Never been flashed and can't see why they're not officially "road legal"

5 They're great!

As promised in my initial review, I said I would report back on these bulbs after trying them on a dark wet night and the verdict is as the title - they're great! No one is dazzled but the nearside verge or pavement is well lit with white light on dipped beam, and main beam enables one to "make progress" as the police say. I'll report back on the H7s when I get round to fitting them to the Audi. In the meantime, yes, these bulbs aren't cheap but they deliver the good white light that I wanted come dry or wet. Given their intended long service life I also use my dipped beam as my DRLs - and at least my rear lights are on too unlike factory fit DRLs! Highly recommended.

3 Good but possibly early days...

Over the 8 years we have owned my wife's little 59 plate Suzuki Swift I have tried several different pairs of the latest +120%, +130% and +150% "xenon" bulbs to improve the poor light output from the headlights and I have also tried aftermarket HIDs [they kept failing] and, most recently, some cheap LEDs [appalling light scatter]. So in final desperation I have just splashed the cash and bought a pair of H4 Philips X-treme Ultinon LEDs. Once ordered, they arrived next day by DPD, well packaged and neatly boxed. Fitting them really is "plug and play" and took about 10 minutes per headlight, the longest time being taken up by finding somewhere to neatly zip-tie the small black control box! The LED kit and its wiring is way, way neater than the aftermarket HIDs kits on offer, by the way. I also helped myself beforehand by finding very informative Youtube videos made by Philips themselves showing you how to DIY their LED bulb kit. PowerBulbs might like to find them and display the links! So, what are the lights like? Well, pretty good is my first impression on a dry, moonlit night and compared to the very latest Philips 150% halogen bulbs, their Ultinon LEDs are literally chalk [bright white] and cheese [yellow Edam]! The beam seems to have a good shape but is quite high and on the first run out [yes, I know these lights are for "off-road" use] I got flashed a couple of times. So it is fortunate that the Suzuki has a headlight height roller adjustment switch on the dashboard that allows me to move the headlights up and down. I found a deserted, straight and level piece of road and fiddled about for a few minutes before settling on the midpoint of the adjustment and thereafter everyone was happy. The white beam has a good reach along the verge on dip and main beam lights the way ahead very well. Others have reported that LED light output can be patchy: yes, there is a little bit of that it's but not overly noticeable, and, in my opinion, the overall improvement in lumens on the road more than makes up for this slight characteristic. The real challenge, as always for any headlight bulb, will come on a moonless wet night and I will report back. In the meantime, I am only awarding three "stars" out of five for these three reasons, the first being that, as above, I have not yet tried the bulbs on a dark, wet night; the second is the slight "patching"; and the third is the price - without the 25% New Year discount I would definitely not have bought the bulbs and even with that discount, they're not yet what I consider to be good value. Notwithstanding that, if you are not happy with the light output from your existing halogens, then rather than faff about buying yet another set of the "latest" +XXX% [and I've spent the thick end of a hundred quid doing so], you might want to consider biting the bullet and getting these Philips Ultinon LEDs. In fact I've already got another set - H7s this time- to go in my new Audi!

5 H4 bulbs

Received my bulbs from UK well packed and intact. The installation was straight forward. Results surpassed my expectations. A clear white light that conformed to the lens arrangement. Not getting flashed by oncoming traffic. Very happy with my bulbs and would recommend them and the supplier to all potential buyers. A1 product.

5 The best ligth you can have

I was really amazed by the output of those bulbs, at firts I though that the 6500k ligth would look a litle blue, but they are pure white, just like those new car that came whit factory LED headligths. The pattern is amost precise and don't glare other drivers. I dont understand why the are not road legal. They are simply amazing! worth every penny.
