A widespread problem in the automotive lighting industry is the increase of counterfeit bulbs in the marketplace. It can be difficult to check the authenticity of bulbs, but to counter this growing concern, Philips have given the consumer an easy way of determining for certain whether or not they have received genuine Philips products. Each of our products comes with a unique QR code that can be verified as authentic by Philips here.

An LED headlight that covers all bases: Philips’ new expertly designed X-tremeUltinon LED headlights offer style, safety, sight and long life in one distinguished package.

Why buy Philips X-tremeUltinon LED Headlamp H7 (Twin)?

The new X-tremeUltinon LED headlights range is the culmination of years of technological innovation, utilising a variety of Philips’ patented design features in order to achieve a headlight that surpasses expectations in every field. With the help of LUXEON LED technology, the bulbs achieve a bright white light with a colour temperature of 6500K, producing a 200% brighter light than that of a standard halogen.

What’s more, the stylish white light effect of the X-tremeUltinon LED headlights’ beam is designed with precision in mind, making use of SafeBeam technology to ensure that the bulbs’ extra light stays where it belongs: on the road. As well as being more distinctive than a standard halogen light, the white LED light produced is closer to the colour of natural daylight, helping you to stay alert and energised on the road at night. The refined positioning of the strong, uniform LED light enables you to see far-away obstacles on the road, without the risk of dazzling other drivers.

The expert craft of the X-tremeUltinon LED headlights range also means that you can enjoy the benefits of a brighter, whiter light for longer. Philips have implemented advanced AirFlux and AirCool technologies to increase the bulbs’ heat resistance, diverting heat from any critical components, thus extending their lifetime. These intelligent heat management systems, combined with the higher light intensity level of the LED, make for an impressively durable bulb with a remarkably long life of up to 12 years.

With the X-tremeUltinon LED headlights' easy installation process you can enjoy extra sight, style, safety and bulb-life in no time at all. Get ready to outshine and out-style the competition.

PLEASE NOTE: These foglights do not have ECE approval, and as such their usage is currently not approved for use on public roads: their usage is limited to ‘off-road’ applications. In addition, their installation may trigger a bulb error message to appear on the vehicle's on-board computer system / dashboard. This is a harmless side-effect of the low-wattage LED bulbs not being recognised by the vehicle's CANbus system and can be solved with the installation of an additional Philips Canbus Adapter

5 Super white light

I have a Ford Galaxy which had halogen lights, which are very poor yellow lights. Purchased these LED lights and so pleased with super bright white lights which gave a wide beam across the road, no interference to other drivers so pleased that I also purchased two more for my main beam headlights. Although expensive I would recommend these lights. Quality costs money and these are quality the very best. Also thank you to the team at powerbulbs for their help and advice

5 Transformative

I have a BMW E60 LCI with projector headlights and have tried several different bulbs to get the desired performance (my previous car had xenons, so my hopes were high). The Philips LED are not supposed to be for road use, but work well in projectors due to the beam cutoff. Brilliant white, great and even coverage and does not impact other drivers. Easy to install too - did it myself. Very happy!

5 Daytime at night

My god these bulbs are brilliant. I drive a lot on unlit roads in the countryside and with these I can see clearly for in excess of 200 metres in good quality light in my full beam on a peugeot 208! I would say that these are only surpassed in light output by a stand alone led light bar that my mate has on his off roader. Really cannot recommend these enough. Had them six months now and issue free.

5 The Best LED yet!!!

After changing all other bulbs on my car to 6000K LED (inside and outside), the headlights looked more yellow than the sun, even changed to high performanced halogens. Not wanting to experiment any more, I decided to go all in and buy a set of these X-treme Ultinons. Fitted them to my projector housing, they are extreme white, matching perfectly the LED DRLs and Fog LEDs. The cut off is identical to the halogens (so no flashing from incoming cars), they have wider beeam (left-right)for greater awareness, and they are much-much brighter than any halogen I tried (I used to use my high beam a lot while travelling, but not anymore...). All in all the best LED kit available... Powerbulbs guys are a treat to work with too. Solved a problem I had immediately and with no hass. Highly recommended.

5 Philips X-tremeUltinon LED H7

After excellent advice from WIll, I recently fitted these to my 2014 Porsche Cayman 981. I ordered both these bulbs and the Philips CANbus cancelling leads as I suspected a 'bulb out' warning would illuminate in the car. However, after fitting just the LED bulbs, I am pleased to report that the car does not throw an error. I have also, so far, not noticed any side effects regarding high beam, flickering or radio interference. I will continue to monitor and add the Philips CANbus cancelling leads should any errors or side-effects be noticed over the coming weeks. The kit is good quality though you need to be careful with some of the connections to ensure you do not damage them. The light output is excellent at around 1700 lumens for each bulb and each has very sharp cut-off to avoid glare. I had been looking for some considerable time for a satisfactory upgrade to the standard H7 bulbs and am pleased to report that this kit provides all that I require regarding error management, quality, styling and light output. Many thanks to Will and Powerbulbs for the advice.

5 Philips X-tremeUltinon

Just fitted these into 2017 Ford Edge, What a fantastic difference to the original H7 bulbs. There a little bit fiddly to fit and secure as required, but if you take your time it pays off. Just remember to remove the whole light assembly. Alona

5 Good? You won’t belive how good

I have a 2011 Volvo V60 that had standard reflectors. Hated them with brighter bulbs etc so spent a small fortune getting xenon oem headlights and wiring in the HID’s. Saw these and thought I’d give them a look. Well the xenons are out and staying out. !! Theses things in reflectors are amazing. Crisp white light, instant on. Brighter than osram hid bulbs. Easy to fit Volvo are now doing LED headlights. These are easily just as good. Buy them you won’t regret it

5 Amazing lights!

Just recently fitted these to my 2015 Fiesta and they are amazing! I previously had some Nokyan 8000k 70W Halogens, which were actually not bad, but these Philips LED's are on another level! The manual states that there has to be a minimum 60mm opening across the inside of the light chamber, mine was 70mm, and i did find it fiddly mounting the balast with the cable ties around the neck of the light chamber. The cables that come out of the balast are pretty thick as well and don`t bend overly well. Also note that apparently there is a positive and negative with the connecter. First light must have been a lucky guess as it worked first time but the other one i had to swap the + and - around. If you have an air tight cover just take care putting this back on as the fan on the bottom of the lights does protrude out a bit from the chamber. All in all though worth the time fitting them!

5 The dog's danglers!

If you look at the H4 reviews for these Philips X-treme LED bulbs you will see under my user name that I wrote two reviews. In the first I only awarded three stars, but after trying out these bulbs on a dark wet night I upped the rating in my second review to 5 stars. Well, there's no hesitation whatsoever this time with the H7s I've just put in my new Audi - FIVE STARS!! It helped that the recent dire wet weather meant the first time out in the car in the dark after fitting these bulbs the rain was torrential but they performed well - a good, bright, white light on black wet roads that showed up the standard H15 halogens in the separate main beams as being not just yellow but AMBER in comparison! The beam throw is good and so is the beam shape. On the Audi you have to remove the entire headlight unit to change the bulbs [daft isn't it?] and although I took a lot of trouble to try and put the light units back exactly as they were, the beam is a bit high. However that's easily adjusted with the headlight height roller switch on the dashboard. Notwithstanding that, I will go and get the headlights checked/adjusted at my very helpful local garage. Fitting the bulbs and the small control box into the headlight units was easy and there is a good DIY video made by Philips themselves [I hope PowerBulbs won't delete this helpful link]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD_yKvkfA9k So, although these bulbs are expensive I think the extra light and safety they deliver is worth it, and if Philips ever make the H15 Ultinons I now want for my main beams I'll be buying them without delay.

5 Worth every penny

I recently brought a 2018 Ford Fiesta which had DRL’s but a standard halogen dipped beam, I came across the new Phillips extreme and just had to get them, I had abit of a knightmare getting them to fit as my headlights have a round plastic holder which locks the bulb into position, the new bulb would not slot into place so I had abit of shaving and cutting of the plastic to do but once that was sorted it was straight forward to install, I have projector lens and they are extremely bright and crisp, amazing direct and flat beam I am over the moon with them

5 Illuminating!

Well, where to begin...straight from the box you can see the quality, super simple to install. Literally a 5 min job on our V40. So to the important bit, how do they perform? They are amazing! the difference from the standard lamps to these is like comparing a candle to a floodlight! We live in the New Forest and for the completely unlit country roads nothing compares. Do not even query the price over a couple of standard lamps, they are worth every penny!

5 Oh my Days!

Having wasted my time buying bulbs over the years I decided to go all in and buy these. Glad I did, they light up my way like a full moon. The keep within the standard halogen bulb light pattern and are great for Motorways. Dont be fooled with cheaper option on ebay etc, they have terrible beams. These are the real deal and worth every penny

5 Phenomenal bulbs

Bought to try in my Audi Q3 which had standard reflector halogens. My previous car had xenons so this was a major downgrade and I was never happy with the look or performance. Tried many bulbs (Philips whitevision and Mtek) but these were still pants in my opinion. Came across these new Philips H7 LEDs by chance, so decided to take the plunge. OK so they’re not legal (I will remove after testing) given EU regulation but I was totally amazed by the power and whiteness of these bulbs. First side took 20 mins to fit as I was reading instructions and double checking etc but other side took 5 mins. Next day I was driving through the Lake District in the pitch black but these were phenomenal and I didn’t even bother with the high beams (Philips whitevision!) as they didn’t make much difference. Cut off was excellent as was the width and length. I did notice slight blotchiness but that’s quite normal apparently with LED vs halogen. I would certainly recommend (especially with 20% discount atm). They’ve been going strong for a few weeks now with no complaints from other drivers so thumbs up all round!
