Many modern vehicle headlights are now manufactured with a clear lens around the indicator rather than an orange plastic cover being used. This is excellent for showing off the design of the headlight, but many motorists were frustrated as the orange bulb could spoil the look of the headlight. This isn’t the case now since Philips have produced Silver Vision. Philips Silver Vision is a chrome bulb that matches the headlight design, but the bulb illuminates with a distinctive amber/orange colour. This means that you can now have both style and functionality.
If your vehicle was fitted from new with a clear lens and currently uses a PY21W bulb then this product will fit directly. The bulb has an offset pin. If you have modified your vehicle's headlight unit then it may not fit as your bulb will have straight pins (P21W).
Yes, the product is fully road legal across Europe.
These Silver Vision indicator bulbs, by Philips, use the latest in bulb technology to maximise the 'clean' effect of clear indicators and rear clusters. Their special mirrored coating renders them invisible against the reflectors, eliminating the fried-egg effect of orange bulbs. They may look like chrome ball bearings, but in use they still flash orange. If you've splashed out on a sweet set of clear indicators or rear clusters, we would highly recommend spending that little extra on a set of Silver Vision bulbs as a finishing touch. The visual difference they make is staggering. Price is per pair.
The latest trend among car designers is to have clear covers over the indicator lights. The new SilverVision will round off the front design of your car: the cool and stylish look which car designers desire to produce with all-silvered headlamp module is taken to perfection by replacing the amber coloured indicator bulb with the new Philips SilverVision.
