Product history:

X-treme Vision has now replaced the multi award winning Xtreme Power. The original X-treme power gained itself an excellent reputation by winning the ‘Best Buy’ award in Auto Express between 2007 and 2010. This was given due to it’s performance and endurance. The new Xtreme Vision now gives 100% light on the road, 20% more than its predecessor which gave 80%.

Are they legal to use and do I need to modify my vehicle?

The bulbs are fully road legal and no adaptations or modifications need to be to your vehicle. The bulbs are directly interchangeable with your existing bulbs and are just a straight exchange.

How does the product generate more light when the wattage is standard and are they safe to use on plastic lenses?

X-Treme Vision use a halogen/xenon gas mix and a refined design of the filament. The xenon gas is a very efficient and produces a brighter, whiter light than when halogen gas alone is used. This means that the bulbs have a greater output of light on the road. The bulbs are all standard wattage, this means that they are completely safe to use with plastic lenses and they are fully road legal.

Ive had a set in my Grande Punto for 3 1/2 years, and as they were so good, i put them in my Mk6 Golf the week i bought it (Aug 09), then when i sold the golf i took them out and put them in my brand new 2012 Polo Match. One has just blown today but i expect the DRL system in the polo means that they are on all the time and burning longing than normal. I am a driving instructor and this set of bulbs in both cars has covered 63,000 miles, and the polo is 2 months old, so theyve been on approx 8 hours per day every day.

Just put these in my Ford Kuga. They are fantastic so much better than the OEM bulbs fitted. They are brighter, Whiter and the length of beam is incredible! Well done Powerbulbs! Steve Webb

I am using these in a 07 VW Jetta, they are the best stock wattage bulbs that ive ever seen, they are as bright as the 65w Osram H7's, amazing!!!!

3 Great vision but lasted just over a year

Bought a pair of these in November 2010 and put them in pretty much straight away. Great amount of light but ghee, to have one go out after 13 months is a bit disappointing!

5 Now I can see!

I live in the country but have never found the headlights on my Kia Sportage to be effective. I have tried a wide range of 'upgrade' bulbs and never found them to make much of a difference. I thought I would try these Philips Extreme Visions as I had read some positive reviews. They've made a world of difference - I can now see! Recommended.
