What’s the difference between Philips WhiteVision and Philips Blue Vision Ultra?

If you’ve heard about the brand new Philips WhiteVision series, you may be wondering what the benefits are in comparison to its predecessor, the Philips Blue Vision Ultra (now discontinued). 2014 marks the 100th year of Philips automotive lighting; the brand continues to innovate and produce some of the highest quality bulbs on the market. The Blue Vision Ultra won the Auto Express Best Buy Award in 2009, and we’re also expecting that the WhiteVision range will turn heads too.

Blue Vision Ultra vs. WhiteVision

We’ll talk you through the differences between the Blue Vision Ultra and the WhiteVIsion with this handy chart:

Blue Vision Ultra

WhiteVision

4000K Up to 3700K
30% more light on the road 60% more light on the road

It’s clear to see that the WhiteVision takes the great features of the Blue Vision Ultra bulb and improves on them to create a styling bulb that doesn’t compromise on performance.

Whiter light: higher Kelvin rating

Philips WhiteVision bulbs have a Kelvin rating of up to 3700K, producing a whiter light than standard. On the light spectrum, white light is close to natural daylight, meaning that the WhiteVision range can help to keep you more alert during night time for a pleasant driving experience.

More light: up to 60% brighter

The brighter the light, the greater the illumination on the road. The WhiteVision series now offers up to 60% more light on the road, helping you to spot potential hazards easily and quickly for a greater reaction time.
